Fuel Filter Banjo Bolt Torque Specification?
Does anyone know the factory specs?
I went to the dealer, freakin lazy **** wrench said just snug. WTF???
Called Haynes, yet to receive a call back.
Went on Autozone's site, specified 22ft lbs on a GS
Saw 30 inch lbs, 17 inch lbs, 22FT lbs. Geez what a nightmare.
I did the old snug and 1/8 turn on that 17MM banjo bolt, but it keeps weeping but nothing major, I can see the fuel residue.
But later I torqued it to 22ft lbs, used brake cleaner to clean the residue off. ran the car for 5 minutes, no more leak. But 22ft lbs was pretty close to my "snug + 1/8th" it barely moved before the click.
Maybe heat soaking caused the crush washer or filter/banjo to expand?

Can't find the torque spec anywhere, I checked the 97 ES300 FSM and 97 Camry FSM.
In the training section it mentions that the filter up front on the firewall removes extremely small particles and has no required service. Hmm... maybe that's why they don't publish a torque spec?
If I had to take a wild guess... The Powersteering high pressure hose banjo bolt is stated as 38 FT LBs Is the banjo bolt for the fuel filter the same size as the powersteering one? If so I would guess it would be somewhere between 30-38 FT Lbs.

Weird, right? WTD, not serviced?
Well, I will monitor and go up in increments of 2 ft lbs from 22.
Geez, not serviced. Seriouosly, then why sell the part? Basturds.
