97-01 lexus es300 quick release setup

Quick release steering wheels are welded often to the steering shaft/column, they tend not to be vehicle specific, they are often installed on spline count, and shaft diameter.
That said, a 97-01 ES300 has airbags, side, and front. You would be removing the driver front airbag, reducing the cars safety in a crash dramatically. I like my face, reconstructive surgery isn't perfect, or much fun.
Also, the ES300 has a generous drivers area, with a fairly long/wide entrance. You don't need a quick release steering wheel, you can get in and out just fine. If you have installed racing seats, perhaps it would be best if you re-installed them on the rails.
Finally, if you are concerned about theft, don't be. The ES300 has a transponder key, it's impossible to steal without that key, well, the car won't start, ever. There is no way to boot the ECU/ECM, without that key, specific to that car.
My suggestion, dont do it. This is the kind of modification that can kill someone.

It's not like I want a deep dish jdm steering wheel all I want to know is where I can get a hub to install the nrg quick tilt system and a wood grain 4 spoke steering wheel.

i knw, i've seen plenty of "new" cars (even luxury cars) with removable steering wheels. i've been thinking of this too, but i'm also considering a steering wheel from a 02+ ES as well. i'm sure the hub is the same as a SC300/400. might want to try that subforum

You are not listening. Your car has an SRS system so as soon as you install an aftermarket steering wheel it will be disabled. This is not safe and in fact if you get in an accident your insurance company will not cover you and the other parties insurance may very well sue you.

Aside from the legal ramifications, as I said, reconstructive face surgery is extremely unpleasent.
a race car has a six point safety harness, and you usually wear a helmet to prevent your face being destroyed against the steering wheel in a crash.
a street car has airbags, and a three point seat belt. The seatbelt stops the body, the airbag stops the face.
remove the airbag and the steering wheel will stop your face.
Crashes are extremely common on the street, if I was a driver in your car and I crashed and wreaked my face because you recklessly modified your car. I would sue you, very aggressively.

so based on your limited experience, of ... a... single accident. You now want to .. can't be persuaded out of it ? ...
ok, well, I guess you're the smartest guy in this room, well done. You should definitely fit a quick release kit to a luxury road car.
I think you should disable the brakes too, and while your at it take those pesky selt belts out.
