oil filter access panels 02-04 es
Hello, any problems to worry about if the oil filter access panels are removed? My 02 driver side panel is trashed, taped up for now, going to ordrer new ones. Thanks for any help with this.

Are you talking about the under body panels that bolt up against the bumper?
You don't need to remove any panels to access the oil filter on the ES300. The oil filter is accessed from the top of the engine bay, on the front of the engine block below the (hot) front exhaust manifold.

Yeah, not sure what you are referring to. We can access the oil filter from overhead. There is a tight space just enough to fit your forearms and/or a tool to remove the oil filter. Careful as he said though, the parts get a bit warm around the space!

It is the 2 panels that bolt up to the bumper. The drivers side was hanging down, its junk, just taped it up for now. Also, what are the best ramps for this car?

To do oil change, you don't need ramps. It might be nice to have but I have done many engine oil and tranny oil changes on ES, Camry, MR2, Celica, Corolla, etc without rising the vehicle. You just have to reach in with a 14mm wrench to access the engine oil drain plug.

Oh! The 2 plastic panels that are attached to the wheel wells and front bumper are a huge pain. They don't have to be removed to perform an oil change, however most quick service shops either pry them open or improperly take them off and not install them back correctly for whatever reason.
If the are not properly secured the stance of the car does not look good, also the ground clearance is hindered.

Not really. They are nice for keeping moisture and gunk from the streets from finding its way up into the engine bay, some may say they assist in airflow lol, but I only noticed that they quiet idle engine noise from outside the vehicle.
