Transmission Jerks, Periodic Jerking Sensation?
I have a 2005 ES330 with about 74,000 on it. What I'm experiencing is periodic slow acceleration, and also some transmission like jerks when accelerating or when the car shifts from third to fourth gear (I think). This can occur when the car is cold in the morning or when it is warm. Since getting the Liberty Mutual RightTrack device off of my car, I have gone back to accelerating more and I think I'm feeling it more.
Could this be due to the ECU learning with my newer driving habits?

ECU relearns when battery cables are removed and touched together to clear the capacitors and all memory [fully].
The jerk is common, as in all of the ES330/RX330/50 have it. There's a newer update for the transmission ECU which basically changed the shift point from 2nd-3rd gear slightly higher to mask the jerk a little better.
It didn't fix it, and it was an hour of labor at the dealer. I suggest going there to see what version you have and update it. Wouldn't hurt to drain/fill fluid since you're in there.

Thanks for the information. That is what I was thinking, as I had an '11 F-150 that had a six speed transmission that jerked between 3rd and 4th gears if I accelerated hard, and then let the truck decelerate without using the brake pedal. That, felt like a mule kick compared to my Lexus's jerk.
