strange door happenings
OK, I ****** up the inside of my 95 es door by damaging what I thought was the lock and the bars leading to it. So me being the genius that I am went to a junk yard to purchase this stuff. To make a long story short the JY dealer didn't want to peice out the door so I bought the whole thing. I replaced all of the guts of the door but my door is still not oper. right. When I pull the inside handle to open the door the outside handle flinches a bit (doesn't affect anything), But thats not the worst part. The worst part is that when I lock the door it still opens from the outside. Strange because when its locked it will NOT open from the inside (thats good). This was the origional prob. with the door, so what the hell could it be. And no I don't have the proper book for this car so I can't look it up in there. Thank God I don't have anything to cool in my car yet!! help me out club lexus P.S. I think it might have something to do with the door handle itself, I didn't replace that. Thanks

i *think* there are 3 bolts holding the locking mechanism in the front doors. take out the lock control linkage system and check to see if that is working properly.

thanks
Thanks Mezoom, but I already replaced that to. I used graphite lock stuff to see if it would help things out, and to my surprise it did. Everything works great now except when I lock the door from the inside the lock is kind of tuff to do, and when I pull the inside handle the lock gets kinda stuck, but no more outside problems. I said to hell with it and just hope that the prob. might fix itself. Thats kinda what happened to the outside.
