Has anyone ever changed 97 and up instrument cluster bulbs to LED ?
I noticed there was a DIY thread about how to do it with 96 and under ES300 but not any years above that.
I have a 1997 Lexus es300 and I am wanting to replace the instrument bulbs with LED's....what size will I need ? I have looked online and it says the instrument cluster bulbs are 194 bulbs...but the bulbs in mine look extremely small compared to regular 194 bulbs (hmm...maybe I am tripping).
Anyways, has anyone ever done this ? and if so, what size bulbs ? any important information I should know about before trying this ?

The back-lighting behind the gauges can't be changed, as it's electroluminescent.
For the small indicator bulbs, you'll need #70 LED bulbs. Get the single front firing SMD LED one, as the multi-directional ones are useless.
