Default 2002 ES- No sound from stereo

Hey everyone, hope you are all doing well.

It look's like I've encountered my first problem with the ES, and I'm not too thrilled about it. There is no sound coming from the stereo, I tried all inputs, AM/FM/CD. The stereo is a six cd in dash, it is NOT a Mark Levinson.

About a week ago, I had the GROM USB2 unit installed. So, I'm hoping it's just a loose connection on the radio. I am going to pull the radio out on Monday, and check for any loose connections. I really hope I find a loose one.

Let's say, there are no loose connections. Is there anything common to look at? Should I pull the battery cables to reset the ECU?

Thanks for the help, I do appreciate it!

Very likely that it has to deal with your new install. But disconnect your battery terminals for about 60 seconds to reset everything just in case.

Is there a fuse for the amplifier?

In case anyone is following the thread: I just checked the fuses, and they are fine. I found three fuses relating to the audio system, fuse #37, #39, and #60. All of them look fine.

Any thing else I should look at?

Yup, you were right!

I disconnected the GROM unit, and now the sound works!!! I'm so happy right now, I'm glad I don't have to buy a new amplifier.

Yup, I hope so.

Just another thing to note, I spoke with GROM and it turns out they are aware of the issue. It has to do with the mute wire on the GROM harness, basically all you need to do is cut the mute wire (the pink one) on the GROM harness. That's a temporary fix, as they are currently working on a software fix.

I think I'm going to return the GROM, instead of cutting the mute wire. I don't want to go through this again, it was a pain. lol
