1995 ES 300 starter replacement
Hi,
I need to replace my starter in my 1995 ES 300. It looks like it may be pretty easy. Is there anything that i should be aware of? It looks like 2 10MM bolts are holding the starter in. Again any suggestions and or tips would be greatly appreciated before i give it a shot.
Thank you,

One piece of advice, pay to have your starter rebuilt. It will be cheaper than the lowest cost new starter. New starters are JUNK unless you pay.
All they do is take your old one, refurbish it, and sell it for more.
Toyota OEM starters are gems. Unless you already have a Auto Zone, Napa, whatever piece of crap in there then do what you wanna do.

Right. They just send those off out of the country to get them rebuilt and then they sell em back. Id prefer to keep the OEM one with better parts. When your starter goes, its all parts that just wear out (brushes, etc) and you get to keep the good internals. Im just speaking as someone who knows someone in the business and has told me always keep the Lexus/Toyota OEM starters. He says they are quality.
