engine codes P420 and P1411 need help
So i bought my 1997 Lexus es300 with two check engine codes. it has 148k miles on it but runs great even with these codes but i would like to get them fixed. The codes showed up as P420 and a P1411....Ive done some research and people say that the P1411 code is a EGR position sensor which doesn't sound so expensive to fix... does this sound right? I cant find much on the p420 code does anyone know what it is? would it be a 02 sensor or a cat? this is as much as i could gather from looking around.. any help would be greatly appreciated.

just an update today. i erased the codes and put a new EGR position sensor and 92 octane gas and have driven it 25 miles and no codes so far. found out old owner didn't use 92 octane vary often and the car sat for 6 months or so. hopefully the check engine light stays off.

May need to run some gas additive, to remove any water in the tank..6 months is a long time for gas to sit, I use acetone to clean out my tank and injectors.. about 10- 12 oz in a full tank...Seafoam is also an excellent product to use
