I drove my '94 ES from Brooklyn, NY to Los Angeles, CA and back, with many stops along the way. It was a pure pleasure.
I was a Motor Sergeant in the US Army, and while training new servicemen, I told them to remember the word "WAGON" before starting a trip.
W= Water(or Coolant), windshield washer fluid
A= Air (Tires)
G=Gasoline
O=Oil
N=Noises

I drive my 97 from Toronto to Ottawa once every two weeks. Total distance about 900-1000km round trip. Just keep an eye on the oil change interval. Check your tire pressure and load up on windshield fluid...the bugs are getting bad. Tthe ES is a pleasure to drive on a long trip. That sound system is fantastic!!

Nobody can beat this one
I drove my Lexus ES300 (1992) from Anchorage Alaska, to Houston Texas, and then from Houston, to Boston and then from Boston to Miami. God knows how many miles is that, but with proper care these cars last for ever. I would never dare do something like this in my benz, because I am too afraid that it would leave me stranded somewhere.

Change *all* the fluids a week before you leave.
Oil, flush transmission, cooling, new differential oil, brake / powersteering fluid.
I took an 800m trip last winter. Oil cap blew off the engine around 600m into it. Noteably... the cruise control had be set between 100-120mph the entire trip.
Inflate the tires to 38psi. That's the reccommended for long/fast highway driving.
