Correction!!
The 97 door speakers in the front are 6.75" or 6-3/4
if you buy a 6.5" speaker the hole will be larger than the drop in for the speaker and you will not be able to attach it to the body of the door to hold it in place.
The rear doors are 6.5" .
Trust me, I have taken mine apart several times ...and if its one thing I know about its the damn stereo...it drove me nuts lookin for info and gettin vague responses on this subject....
Like I said the 6.5" will fit but you will have to fabricate some sort of thing to make the drop in hole smaller as you will realize if you buy 6.5" for the front doors...
I garauntee that you will be saying "damn if this hole was only 1/4" smaller i could just screw the speaker to the door itself ".....
and yes the sub woofer in the rear deck is 8"......and is also 2ohms....just so you know

Confirming size of 97 es300 speaker sizes!!! Please help!
Hey man so I just read your reply to this & glad I did bc I just sent to a PCRichrds & the guy told me I needed 6.5 all the way around, and was about to buy 4 6.5’s.
So youre saying that in the 97 ES300, the fronts are 6 1/4 & the back are 6 1/2?
Are there any other speakers in the car & if so what are the correct sizes for them?
if you’d like to txt me directly 908-523-8357.
thanks! Appreciate the help!
-Mike
