How much of a difference is there between the F - Sport illuminated door sills and the regular illuminated door sills for the CT?
Just from pictures it's hard to tell but it looks like the F - Sport ones have more blue in them.

They're the same. I compared mine to a F-Sport CT and they were exactly the same

I see...so companies are just trying to get more cash for the F-Sport ones because it says it's for the F-Sport. Looks like I'll be getting the regular ones and save some cash.

Mine came with the initial purchase. If I had the option I would NOT have gotten it assuming the existing door sill matched the ones in the rear.

not sure I understand what you mean. the factory door sills are just plain old door sills but the illuminated one have the Lexus logo in them with the fronts lighting up and the rears just with the logo.
I would love it if the rears lit up also, I'm sure so would everyone else who has them.

I think he meant that his illuminated door sills was installed on his CT when he got it. At the dealer where I got my CT, every premium CT (back in 2011) has the illuminated door sills installed. The basic model doesn't have it but they were sold out of the basic model.

Initially I thought it was really cool. Now I don't even see it anymore. Once in a while someone who has seen my car for the first time (at night) would mention it to me.

My new CT f-sport that we are picking up tomorrow has them, we saw them at night when we were looking at the car, they look nice. They are a bright blue.

Without the illuminated door sills you would still have the aluminium ones similar to the rear doors.
Don't get me wrong, they are nice at night...but looking forward to future purchases, I think I'd be perfectly fine without them. Now if the CT never came with sills in the first place, then that would be different. I just feel I wasted a perfectly good set of aluminum door sills is what bothers me.

now i understand...thanks. I have the plain old door sills so anything would be a step up, either illuminated or not. I think it's still on my list of things I want to do...maybe not as high up but still on the list.

Does anyone know how to prevent Straches on the door sills?

I ended up replacing my old ones because they were so scratched... I ended up leaving the clear plastic on my new sills and you cant even notice! If you already took it off I would cover it with some vinyl or even clear tape.

I know this sound silly,but I can't find is250 door sill,and ct200h's one is on sale,(guess ct200h is not selling).Can anybody help.will be really appreciated.Thank you.
