OEM Spark plugs superseded
Hey guys, thinking about changing my plugs at 85k. Searching for the oem plugs I see two different ones available.
Denso SC20HR11 (phasing out)
superseded with Denso SC16HR11
I can get either, but wondering if anyone has seen a mpg increase or decrease with the Sc16HR11.
Figured doing the plugs every 60k should be easy maintenance (compare to the Prius). I’m thinkIng it may help prevent a blown head gasket. This is after reading this post.

Maybe wait a bit. The plugs on hybrid are low use/low wear so no need to really waste money unless your fuel economy is bad or other issues.
To protect against HG failure, you're better off concentrating your efforts on the EGR system and intake manifold.

Maintenance service manual recommended 120k
checkout hybridpit.com they carry some oem parts and performance parts for CT200h but definitely do the EGR system, intake system (manifold) cleaning asap especially 85k. I did mine at 90k diy. The egr cooler and manifold ports were almost clogged up completely. Back to sparks plugs unless u have a bad plug or misfire check engine code. I would definitely wait til recommended mileage/age. 144mo/120k
