F-sport "se" traded in!
After owning my 2012 CT200h F-sport SE for a little over a year, I decided to trade it in
and got a 2013 Chevy Volt.
I want to thank this forum and it's kind readers and users for the wealth of info and tips
that I've received. Lexus is a brilliant and upscale leader in vehicles and I'm sure to
return as a owner/enjoyer/consumer to it's products.
I am tired of purchasing GAS and as a result, I've purchased a 2013 Volt. With it's 6500
in incentives and the $1500 Clean Air rebate, the Car Pool lane sticker and discounts in
Home charging systems, I decided it's time for the switch.
To those who would like to know about my experience of my CT, it was PERFECT. My CT
NEVER let me down and it had ZERO problems. it gave me 45 mpg when I really tried, and
handed me 39 mpg when I drove WOT. The F SE handled like a slot car and the car was
an absolute joy to drive.
I called her STORM and I will miss her. Any questions just ask.
Thanks and I'm sure I will be part of the Lexus owners again. Thank you CL!

Tell us more about your volt?
I considered one when I was looking at the CT. The only one the dealer had on the lot we test drove and could not get the air conditioner to blow cold.
It was a premium with leather and fully loaded. It was very comfortable.

My volt
my 2013 Volt is a fully loaded, package 1 and 2 vehicle.
Package 1 is for front vehicle collision avoidance
Package 2 is for lane assist
So far, I've driven 450+ miles and have used ONLY 1.8 gallons of fuel.
I charge everyday, and in my area of Atwater Village, (LADWP) I'm using
16,5 cents per KhW, the Volt charges 13 KhW or about 2 dollars for 40 miles
of EV driving. Yes, 40 miles, ALL ELECTRIC.
Performance is very acceptable as electric vehicles accelerate rather quickly.
Quiet, peaceful and very relaxing to drive. I constantly watch the monitor to
maximize EV mileage. It has a few modes of driving and when left in the sport
mode, carefree, PUNCH IT driving, it's actually fun.
In NO way does my Volt come close to handling as my F sport SE.
Interesting note, it has a PEDESTRIAN alert that kinda
studders the horn so that people/animals that walk in front of the super silent
car wont have a heart attack from a regular horn.
Anything else, just ask. OH, the 2013s are being blasted out the door by a total of
8000 rebates and incentives. Amazing.

The 2013 volt can be bought now for 6500 off the sticker. I'm sure you can do better if you
spend the time, I spent one week and decided with a fully loaded Volt starting at 44.
So, NO money down, 15K a month, 36 month, I'm paying 410/mo, tax included. I'm also
waiting for my 1500 Clean air check that's coming, ( i hope )

Hey Pat,
I think for a short period of time, the SE edition was sold, it was essentially the same as the f-sport package but it came with the trident f sport wheels and was only available in 1 specific color, i think nebula grey, and a few other extra style changes. i don't see it on the lexus

The carpool lane sticker cost 8 dollars and I already received it. However it does NOT provide
access to the fastrak lanes.

After looking at the CT for a possible replacement to my Prius in 9/2011, my dealer
called me and said they had a VERY special CT SE that just got in.
So while the article said Nubile grey was the only color, mine was white. Most of the article
was correct about the trident rims, handling package, navi, ocean blue interior, however,
mine also had the Tumi road "F" sport special bags. Very cool indeed.

Just an update on the Volt.
3800 miles now and I've used 2 gallons of gas.
I just charge at home and after learning to drive the power system, i'm actually getting about 45+ miles on 1 charge. I know people that are getting over 60+, but I just can't drive that slow.
It's a super car to drive, nice, calm, peaceful and the only thing I really miss is having a sunroof.
Gonna look into the ELR soon as I'm already looking into the future!
Electric is awesome. 2 bucks to drive 45 miles. cool.
