Issues with Interior of CT200 polyurethane-based NuLuxe
I have less than 1300 miles on a 2012 CT200 and it appears that my interior seats have real issues. I had to take my car into a body shop and when I picked the car up, the interior looked really dirty and mottled. After I complained, they tried to clean the interior, but to no avail. The seats look like the is dirt ground in. The repair shop then sent my car to a detailer and again that did not help the matter and then an interior specialist, which again, no difference.
Think the bodyshop used something when cleaning the interior that distroyed the seats.
Has anyone heard of this?
I am now taking my car to Lexus to get a price to fix the issue.

I use turtle wax ICE on mine interior cleaner , works really nice. UV protection to boot. I'm sure it won't repair damage to the material you must have a dealer do that. $$$$

Update to issue - attached pics
Thanks for the replys and comments
I took the car to Lexus today, and they said they could not do anything to fix the seat damage ....the only solution is to replace the seat covers and door panels ( i did not get a price yet) They also cautioned me that there is no guarentee that the seat material (dye lot?) will be consistant, in additionl installing seat covers at the dealership is less than a science and more of an art. They said the factories have special equipment that does the trick, so there could be some real quality issues. I am eager to get the price to repair/replace.
Open to suggestions !

Question: Are you holding the body shop responsible and are they accepting the responsibility ???

Quote From Lexus
I received a quote from Lexus to repair. After I picked myself off the ground, I called my insurance agent, who I hope intends on making the bodyshop accountable. The thing is, the dealer said that they need to actually replace seat covers and that there is no guarantee that the material will have total color consistency. In addition, he said that the “fit” is different because the dealers do not have the same upholstery equipment. Lets open another can of sardines...no thank you...

If you change out the interior who cares a about color consistency they will all be the same, unless I'm missing something here?
I've done my own seats and with proper attention to detail they come out as nice as factory. Just a matter of skill on the installers part. I was no expert but I am very meticulous and took my time. As long as they are paying get the covers to an upholstery shop. Not the dealer.....most good shops will fix them near perfect. This material might be tricky.
Good luck......but if you hate they way they look now get'em recovered you can get the check and even change it over to leather or whatever you want.

Just curious, how do you know they sent it to a reputable detailer? I find that there are many (real professional) detailers out there that can turn almost anything on a car thats not broken back to brand new.

Thanks for sharing your experience. I will know now when having my car detailed to be sure to let them know that the seats are Nuluxe and not leather and for them to use the appropriate chemicals to avoid this for my car.
