Got rear-ended what to check now?
Hello guys/gals,
I got rear-ended on Friday getting off the freeway. It wasn't at high speed so no airbags went off, I am ok and the other guy appears to be ok. Just by looking at my car you wouldn't guess it was rear-ended because all it has is scratches on the bumper and nothing else on the outside. The impact was strong enough for my head unit to pop out and land on the shifter, my head slammed onto the headrest, and locked up the seat belt pretty good. I haven't removed the bumper to check the crash bar, but I did get under the car and it looks like it has some crumples between the spare wheel (under body) and end of the car. This morning driving it to work I noticed the alignment is a bit off, I guess I need to get that double checked? What else should I get double checked on the car? Any advise I would appreciate, thank you.

Well since you got rear ended the others guys insurance is paying for your car. I don't think you really have to worry about getting screwed on anything as long as you have the other guys info and he knows he's at fault. Any reliable bodyshop will fully inspect the damage and determine what needs to be replaced. The more work they have to do the more $$ they get so they are more likely to replace every little thing than to screw you over.

Since it's not your fault you should be able to take the car to anywhere you like (if they have good insurance or you can insist their agent). Take it to a Lexus dealer and have them do a full 160 point inspection.

I went on Monday, my back was hurting a bit and the Dr. claims it's just muscle that is what is causing the pain but nothing major. I was given some Ibprofin and sent back to work.
I took some pics but it doesn't look bad at all. Like I said just some scratches.
