Hi,

My wife accidentally hit the right side front bumper badly. I would like to ask what is the cost look like to repair/replace and any good body shop that could recommend? I'm living at Plano, Texas.

Yelp is a good source for local reviews. Also the Cartalk wbsite mechanics files has a lot of local mechanics all over the country, maybe it also has body shops. I usually go to those and friends recommendations, or insurance approved shops, you can check with your agent, or a busy local shop that has been around a long time and fixes similar vehicles. Bumper covers are often replaced. The replacement then needs to be painted. You need a body shop or 3 to give estimates as there may be underlying damage.

 

Adding to what Clutchless said, as far as the underlying damage, there are many clips under the bumper cover that needs to be checked out to get any broken ones replaced.

 

I'm astounded at what body shop repairs go for now. I had two little scrapes on the corner of my front bumper and the estimate was almost $500.

 

Call Sewell parts department, they can sell you a painted bumper cover and all you have to do is swap it out. If you'd rather have someone install it for you then ask them for recommendations or maybe they can install it. I know they do this as I asked about swapping my regular Gs350 bumper to an f sport bumper and I was quoted a price for the bumper cover and needed parts to do the swap shipped to my house.
