Why would you keep water in your car during the winter months? Use antifreeze and winter washer fluid.

no problems here, although I missed all my morning classes because I overslept due to the cold.
So now I am stuck at home playing video games

Sorry to hear about that. The only thing I've heard previously to help prevent his was to run the water so that it wouldn't freeze as readily. *shrug*

i guess one way or another you pay

its the hot line for the 2nd day in a row and thats why I didnt want to leave it run or no Hot water in the AM. :UGH: I had to stay home today but the water in this house is VERY cold out of the tap Its ICE cold year round but the cold line does freeze? I dont get that I dont get how the water is soooo cold in this house and researched it last year and didnt find anything. Nothing is on the water line to do this. My neighbors dont have this so its really weird

Now I just got a call from my wife and she had to slide off the road to avoid an accident because no one could stop. Sounds like nothing happened but with the start of this am I can only hope

Okay lets hope for positive stuff the rest of the day.

Its so cold that the babys private school shut down and my older son is out of school again today! He is happy little guy Man when do we get snow/cold days

Is this line near an outside wall? A good friend of mine had the same problem and there just was not enough insulation between the outside wall and this particular pipe. I suggested he re-route this pipe since they had the wall partially opened anyways to fix the leak. You wouldn't want it to break again I told him. The plumber agreed that instead of just fixing the leak - he rerouted the pipe so its running more towards the inside of the house and keeping away from the outside wall. Its a pipe leading to a utility sink. the pipe does not come out of the outer wall anymore, it comes up through the floor next to the utility sink's rear legs where you won't see it anyways unless your on the floor looking for it. He has not had any issues since then - even with this crazy cold weather.
Good luck.

Don't leave it running fully. Let it drip. You should have plenty of hot water in the morning.

waiting for the guy to come back out...

I think I may run the lines dry tonight and leave them open so they dont get pressure and they cant freeze up again. Turn them on in the am again?? what do you guys think?? or is that bad to do?? I think saturday is going to be warmer if you can even call it that (lol).

waters flowing again but lets see how long it last.

so FYI I asked if I turned the water off and opened everything up if that would help and the answer is no because all the water wont drain and especially in the area that is having some issues. So I guess I have to leave it run all day/night to keep water pushing through. What can you do?!?!?!

Man this guy must love me for all the work he has gotten and it only takes them a few minutes with all there tools to get it done. He said I will see you tomorrow I said I am all out of cash for you oh well all I can do is laugh about it right!
