2017 Audi Q7 Perfect Vehicle scarred by VW scandal?
or is it really a dud?
The interior (minus that small screen) looks amazing. Exterior...
Whats the consensus compared to say an RX

I think the Q7 looks good in person, much better than many of the early press photos. I'll have one over the Thanksgiving holiday and will try to take some more real life pics.
Lighting is phenomenal:

On Friday I had our car in the Audi dealership for service. They weren't busy, so before I left, the SA showed me video and pictures on his computer of his recent trip to Houston to learn about and drive the new Q7. IMO in real life pictures and video it looked better to me than some of the other photos I've seen. It still looks different and I'd really need to see it in person though.

I'm still not sold on the exterior. IMO the previous model was much better looking. The new one is so square it looks like a tall station wagon. Even though the RX's design is so overwrought I would still probably take one of those over a Q7. If anything, the Q7 will be scarred by its styling, not the VW scandal.

Interior fit and finish, and the new technology seems pretty well put together.

dunno, to me Q7 is more like a station wagon than SUV now... old Q7 when it first appeared looked like big massiveSUV.
As to the interior, it is nice in high spec vehicles... mid spec in Europe is not that nice at all, lots of plastic, not interesting looking, still expensive. It is still really nice, but at these prices it should be nicer ($90k for cloth interior around here).

..."cloth is offered "here?"... If I understood that correctly. It's either base leather or premium leather in the U.S.
Price is the Q7's biggest demerit.

Either way Audi is on a ROLL. Went in to an Audi dealership to talk to a sales rep and (I swear he was built like a bull with anvils around his neck, shoulders and arms lol)and he stated that Audi has surpassed BMW worldwide sales. I didn't know this. Anyway, trying to search for a used S7 the pickings are SLIM. S6 with low miles even slimer. That's always a good sign I think.
