92 transponder key for lexus 300sc
Sewell parts was mentioned as a good source for this remote but they are now out of business. If anyone else has a source or a remote key or two to sell please contact me. Dealer wants over 500$$$$ just absurd! Thank you

^^ That's a good aftermarket option and it's been around for a couple of years. Doctaryn, Sewell indeed was a good option we no longer have.
If you do want a factory set you do have to go to a Lexus dealer for these parts. Carson Toyota for instance cannot sell you new keys and a matching transponder since you have to give a VIN for this. It's pretty much the only parts that you need to go to a Lexus dealer to buy.
Lexus of Pembroke Pines is another good option, though their discounts are only available through the online ordering system and you'll probably still need to call them for the parts.
About three or four years ago I picked up a new set of OEM two keys (cut to VIN) and a matching OEM transponder for $400 from Lexus of Glendale (Glendale, CA). Their prices are not known to be the lowest. They were just conveniently local for me at the time. This was just for the parts, not installation.
You've got options, OP. OEM remote keys will never be cheap but you should be able to do a lot better than $500.
