depends if you care about latest features and improvements, especially in electronics.

i think 2016 mustang is a big win over the 2015 for example.

You would know it was there, for sure, but I don't think the car would the so much more fun around town that it would make up for the other luxuries and conveniences that you sacrifice with the Corvette. When you're talking about a 435-hp car, +50-60 hp really isn't a whole new world.
Are you serious?! 50-60 is a noticeable power gain even on 400hp+ cars.
My friend's bolt on Z06 has 35rwhp over my stock Z06 and even that is a noticeable difference on the street...

And hp is not the only part. My stock Z06 is much faster than my 470rwhp Cobra even though my Z06 is down roughly 25rwhp...

So yes...it is noticeable on the street...with more power or less weight...

Both cars are pretty comfortable for a daily driver although the Vette is lower and will scrap more. However, the vette also gets better gas mileage also, especially on the freeway. I daily drive my 2008 Vette and drive my Mustang 2-3 times a week. My butt dyno says my vette is faster and I really don't care too much about all the amenities just as long as it has air conditioning. On the highway, my Vette is quiter than my Mustang and has less wind noise. The convertible Corvette is quieter than the coupe from what I'm reading on the Corvette forums.

Those LS3 motors are great motors and really torquey. I don't know much about the coyote motor, but the LS3 are reliable motors from what I'm hearing. However, it's the mechanical parts around the powertrain that are fragile. I had to replace my water pump, plastic T-fitting for the coolant hoses, harmonic balancer, and belts. My car around 65k.

If I had to give up one of my sports car it'll have to be the Vette only because my Boss 302 is funner to drive and almost as fast as my Vette. However, if it was a GT and not a Boss, I'll keep the Vette.

Like I said, it will certainly be noticeable, but it won't be a game changer... At least depending on your criteria. If your most important criterion is speed, then yeah, the Vette should probably get a bigger nudge. But that seems silly for a street car.

As it turns out, in the quest of looking for a convertible, I finally ended up with a very special edition BMW E46 ZHP package convertible.

Congrats. I'm a hardtop convertible fan myself but you do get more room in the trunk with the top down on a soft top. Well enjoy.

Thanks!
If I was a blind folded passenger in this soft top convertible, I would not have figured out this was a soft top. There was no extra noise / wind disturbances resulting from the soft top.
