'Forbidden Fruit' Car Thread
You know those cars that you hear about, dream about and spec out on international websites using a page translator, but will likely never own let alone see one in real life? Maybe you fancy a hatchy Euro like an economical Up!, a sleek V40 or the devils nectar RS6 Avant? Perhaps a lightweight roadster in the S660? A bullish Hilux or an even odder Maloo? How about an alternative powertrain not available in your market? Whatever you covet, if you could import ONE car from a foreign market, which would it be and why?

Very good topic. There are plenty I'd like to bring to the U.S. such as the Toyota Hilux, Toyota Alphard, Lexus IS 300h/RC 300h, etc.
If I were to pick just one, it would be a fully loaded V12 Toyota Century...I want the JDM ultra luxury experience knowing I have a bespoke V12 motor from Toyota.

Yes, Australians know how to make better V8 cars than the U.S. does.
This is their racing car:

I'd probably vote for the Maloo. It would make an excellent El Camino for the Chevy line. In fact, Pontiac had plans for a Sport Truck using that design, before the division was folded.

Out of Warranty
A wealthy 15 yr/old intern of mine (whose Daddy was the owner of the company) got a brand new Toyota Cressida back in 1978 for her 16th birthday. Her Mom liked it so much better than her own car, so she took the Toyota and she was given Mom's car. Our girl was plenty peeved that her mom made her take the "old" car. It was a little odd having her park next to my new company Chevy Caprice Classic Wagon in the parking lot. . . with her year-old Rolls-Royce.
Silver Shadow trumps Chevy . . . all day long.

can we put cars that we would NEVER get? I vote for Toyota Etios above :-)
And for what I would get - i would like Mark X G... "affordable" RWD Toyota sedan, even if it is 6 years old now.
