Infinity Q50 vs STI

OP, it seems to me that what you're looking for is a sport luxury car. If that's the case, the STI won't meet your needs due to the lack of luxury and refinement. At the same time, I'm not sure why you're looking at the Q50 either, as it's been widely panned in reviews due to lacking handling and poor steering feel, both of which reviewers have described as a big step down from the G37.
If you want sport luxury, I have no idea why you wouldn't consider the 3IS. I tracked the 3IS350 F-Sport extensively at NOLA during the LFA event and just had a 3IS250 loaner for a few days. Even the 250 (non F-Sport) was a blast to drive, even if I found the lack of power annoying in daily driving situations. Overall, the 3IS is just a fantastic car.
Straight line speed, especially when the comparison is reduced to 0-60 times, is a really bad way to evaluate sports cars and especially sport luxury. You're only going to disappoint yourself that way.

i hated it when it first came out, but it has grown on me. and it's very mod friendly if you are into that stuff.
anyway, is this out yet?
i think it's not a bad choice. I would've driven something like that if i was 15 years younger.
i would say buy it and drive it for 2 years and then trade it after you beat da crap out of it. it will hold its value very well. lol

No offense to the original poster but I never understand why anyone who is serious about buying a specific car relies on reviews and Internet forums to be a factor over test driving the car personally. Not saying you haven't or won't do that but it would be the first thing I would do.

So, excuse me, you may not do that, but I do.
Wolf , you got it correctly, I don't buy car out of impulses. I buy it based on reviews, comments, and my personal inputs. I have been waiting on the Sti for a while, and it is not even released yet though....can't buy it....if it is not out.

Q definitely has more luxury but how much luxury could you possibly want... I'd go with the STI given that it's manual and probably more fun to drive... OP if you sit in traffic a lot you may want to go with the Q since it's auto. Can't go wrong with either choice though. If you're into modding, a modded STI can give most cars a run for their money as well.

Beside that, the Q50 has way more luxury and performance as in straight line. Why not looking into it ?
Honestly, the more I look into, the more this Q50 has grown on me. I never really was into either Nissan or Infiniti. But since I saw that Q50 commercial, it curious me in a way. . . . a good way

You are also correct at not racing on the street. It is all about passing power, merging to lanes, and the comfort of a DD.

For different suggestions, and online mag. I went ahead and look into 3rd IS too. I get that IS have Adaptive suspension, and the Q50 Hybrid doesn't, is that correct ?

My vote STI, a true sport sedan. Q50 hybrid, I dnno, I hated the car. don't just look at the numbers, go test drive each, I am sure you would love STI, as it designed for speed and handling.
