LOL. I grew up with Russian and dated some as well and the guy was screaming oh ***** before he crashed. Very lucky nobody was killed. The driver should have steered to the left

Nitwit of a truck driver......pulled right out in front of him. Probably after a nice shot of vodka.
And, yes, with the gas pumps that close, a real catastrophe may have been narrowly averted.

If you ever drive a truck, you'd realize that the side vision out of it is very poor. You're not surrounded by glass like in a sedan/SUV. The truck driver most likely simply didn't see the car coming.

Truck driver is clearly visible from the point he begins his left turn until he enters the far right lane, crossing into gas station. Visibility works both ways. If you can see him, he can (or should) see you.
Don't know what the construction standards are in Russia, but in the US and Canada (and much of the rest of the world), dry-break fittings connecting the dispenser ("pump") to the underground lines to the tank as well as between the dispenser and the delivery hose are required. Collisions with the gas island should not result in much spillage and fire . . . but you see large blazes associated with these collisions all the time.
At least in this case the nozzle pulled free of the box truck's tank without breaking the hose. The shiny spot on the hose near the pump in the last few seconds appears to be such a coupling. Surprised it didn't release - a break in the hose at any other point could have produced a pretty large fire. So many factors lined up just right to save the poor guy at the pump, he probably should go buy a lottery ticket.

Nice way to stereotype. If the truck driver is a Russian, he must've had a shot of vodka.

side vision has nothing to do with that. KaMa3 was making a left in front of camera(bus). I personally drive a truck on streets of BK(canarsie, bayridge, bensonhurst, borough park, sunset, midwood) you wouldn't believe how many ppl think they can cut in front of me...don't even get me started with ambulettes and acces-a-ride vans.
