Cars and Coffee v. 8.06 *H.F.H.V. edition*
This past weekends Cars and Coffee highlight was Ken Block making an appearance in his H.F.H.V. Ford Fiesta. For those of you not familiar with this car, this is Block's newest race car, H.F.H.V. stands for "Hybrid Function Hoon Vehicle." With changes in suspension, engine mapping and wheel packages it is intended to compete in Gymkana, Rally-X, and Stage Rallies. The car can produce up to 600-hp and 665 lb-ft. of torque from it's 2.0L turbo four. But the kicker is that it's even registered to be road-legal!
Other notable vehicles included a belly tank racer making it's regularly irregular appearance and drawing a crowd as always. These belly tank racers where made to compete in the Bonneville Salt flats. When you see how they where built you get an all new respect for the men running these back in the days. There was also a 1 of 5 in the U.S. B5 RS4 in attendance, a stunning Madera Metallic Rolls-Royce Phantom, the best looking M6 we have ever seen, and a Land Rover Fire truck from New Zealand.
The crowd was huge thanks to Ken Block's appearance, so at times it was hard to get the shots we wanted. Nevertheless, we managed to get some good shots. I hope you guys enjoy this week's picks of the pics:
