Looks like an IS300 with the 17" dry-pavement wheels/tires (I can tell by the rear wheel, rear C-pillar, clear taillight, and the disconnected front bumper). I had an IS300 myself (that's how I joined CL). It has a reputation for being extremely well-built, though probably not quite as strong a safety-frame that the typical Volvo or Mercedes product has.

The article said that the (presumably) IS300, a blue Mustang, and an unspecified third vehicle were involved. I just wonder if the IS and Mustang were drag-racing? There's no proof of it, of course, from the picture, but I certainly wouldn't rule it out. In my area, (Washington, DC/MD/VA), more kids are hurt or killed in V8 Mustangs than any other single type of vehicle.....I've posted on that subject a number of times.

Yes, we've enjoyed the "Fast and Furious" reruns at the high school next to your house many times. Dangerous for sure.

Jeez...that's one tough IS.

My neighbor got t-boned in her SC400. A guy driving a Magnum decided to run a red going about 35 mph and slammed into the passenger side. The window shattered, but luckily the hefty door protected her friend from any harm. Lexus vehicles are SAFE.

DAMN!!! I am surprised that the IS300 would take that kind of abuse. Its not a relatively sturdy feeling car. I go out for lunch with a lady at work who has one, and it seems like its doors are hollow. Sounds like an Altima. cheap. Cool to know that the dinky IS can take this. This means my GS should be able to take considerably more damage

seen here, the driver was walking away from the accident!

A driver walks away from his wrecked Lexus after three-car collision in the intersection of Bastanchury Road and Derek Drive, Fullerton, just before 7am.
