Are there any rumors of either the LX470 or Sequoia being release as a hybrid in the next few years? That'd be nice, huh?

Pole Position
My guess is V8 Hybrid in 2009. The new Tundra & Sequoia will be in our next summer with only V6 & V8 motors. With the BIG drop in domestic truck sales due to gas prices I expect Toyota may want to accelerate the Hybrids.

By 2010 @ least 20 new Hybrids(from various Manufacturers) will be here in the US including a Hybrid Sienna slated for '08. So id say its possible there will be a LX470 or Sequoia hybrid in the next few years. One thing is for sure.. 1 day the entire Toyota/ Lexus lineup will be available in hybrid

That's good news...
I mean, even the Escalade is coming out in '08 with a hybrid. But why don't other manufacturers just use a Lithium Battery like Toyota will do with the next gen Prius?
That should bump up MPG and make the car lighter...

With rising gas prices, and the need/want of larger transportation capacities, you'll see a need/want of hybrid SUVs. If anyone is going to lead this movement, it will be Toyota/Lexus.
Two things though: (1) Toyota needs to make gas-saving, not performance-enhancing hybrids, or (2) they may also make a sportcross (a.k.a. stationwagons) such as a bigger Matrix to find a balance between car drivers that need more room but don't want an SUV.
