Used car from Quebec
I'm currently in the market for an used RX350.
My sales guy found a 2013 RX350 F sport for about 40K CAD.
The only concern I have is the car was register under Quebec.
Just needed some inputs on what I should watch out for? Or should I pick one up locally for about 46K CAD.
BTW I live in Vancouver.
Thanks for your inputs.

Accident history used to be a bigger issue that it is now. The two provinces did not share information prior to registration into Ontario, so it was easier to hide a lot of previous accident histories. Aside from that, rust is an issue...

Thanks for the info guys.
I will get a BCAA inspector to do some checking under the car then.
Does anyone have rust issues from the east coast? Just want to get an understanding how Lexus are with rust protection. Thanks.

I don't think you have to worry about rust with a car that is only a couple of years old. In fact most lexus cars do very well in the rust belt of eastern Ontario/western quebec. I have a 1998 GS, 2012 IS and a 2005 Sienna and I would challenge anyone to compare them to a western car for any appreciable difference in rust damage. Admittedly I take car of my cars but still, in general cars are much better today than they were 15 or 20 years ago.
The biggest concern I would have is accident repairs. Carproof doesn't always show everything. Especially if the previous owner gets repairs done without making an insurance claim. The best thing to do if you are looking for a deal and still be safe is to get a CPO car or a car from a major car dealer. Of course the deals are harder to come by from these types of dealers.

Thanks for the input guys, I've decided to drop the deal, I plan on keeping the RX for a long time.
I think this is not worth trouble, and like A2BLexus mention, dealer is charging me $1000 for shipping + $800 out of province inspection (estimate cost). This is all before I have see the car yet.
I am going to find one locally.
