Lexus of oakville
Has anyone dealt with Lexus of Oakville?
Just curious to learn about your overall impression from sales to service.
Thank you.

I bought my ISF there and my is350. Salesmen was great! I was pretty young when I bought my 350, but he gave me the time of day, which other dealerships weren't. Service was ok, nothing spectacular but no bad experiences. I go to Erin Mills Lexus now though because my cousin works there.

i would never go back there and would never let anyone i know buy a car from them. I walked in with my pregnant wife and stood around for over 20mins to get help and finally walked straight to the managers office asking for help and the response i got was "go ahead and sit the cars you like BUT do not scratch them"......and I walked straight out the door.

I had a bad experience with them. A couple of years ago my 2006 RX400h died on the QEW in Hamilton. I called Lexus Roadside assistance and they towed it to the nearest Lexus dealer which was in Oakville. The next day Oakville Lexus called and said that they couldn't repair my vehicle since the problem was with the hybrid system and their only mechanic licensed to work on the hybrid system was on long term disability and won't be back for months. I said fine, take it to my dealer in Toronto. They said no, I had to hire a tow truck to do that and they were quite snotty about it. I had to call the Lexus head office and my dealer in Toronto and spend a lot of time haggling on the phone to get a truck to bring it to TO. Through the whole episode I found the people I dealt with at Oakville Lexus to be real a-holes.

Problems with dealing with big corporations:
- many corporate policies, many red tapes
- service varies depending on who the sales person, service adviser, mechanic, manager, etc... is.
If you must, you have to find a mechanic that you trust and have him and only him working on your vehicle.
And double check his work if you can.
After many years of owning and working on various vehicles, I just work on them myself. I have caught too many mistakes by mechanics and modification "specialists". I do have a few trusted mechanics if I can't do it myself but I always double check their work. After all, we are human and do make mistakes.

I'm just curious which GTA dealers you've already visited? I would stay away from Ken Shaw and Lexus on the Park. I've personally had multiple bad experiences at both and would never return.
