Hipsi the total on all if the trans swap is right at $4k. A little more or less. If you buy a used trans you will save a lot. I bought new because I could to find a used one local. Same with the stock cd009 shifter. I couldn't find one used so I bought new. If you want the guys name and number for the shifter let me know. He said it was cool to send more people his way. He is willing to do these for anyone needing them done.
What do people normally do for gearing? 3.26?
Yeah I'd be interested in contacting him for the shifter, PM me his info if you don't mind.
Would he actually need the vehicle to make sure the fitment is perfect? I'm assuming you've already test fitted the shifter to make sure it rows and shifts nicely within the console?
Thanks,
Andrew

Yes Andrew people usually use the 3.26 rear for this trans. He already test fitted everything in his car. He has the maroon sc from the tx2k14 event last year that made 770 on the dyno.
It fits perfect in the consule. And like you said I'm gonna have a brand new trans and a warranty and that's what made me want to go with the cd009.
I will pm u his number

sorry for not updating this much. Been busy working and dealing with natural disasters around here. Mother nature dropped 4-6" of rain on Louisville in a day and cause some flooding. Our cities drainage system isn't the greatest to say the least.
Anyways once you buy the hoke performance shifter relocation piece and send the stock 350z shifter to Brett Fenning to get modified ( which I recommend because its not only angled forward its also bent one way a bit ) and modify the piece pictured below, then this does become a bolt on affair. Brett has allowed me to give his number to anyone needing the shifter modification done. So PM ME or text me 502-403-7543. You can also contact him on Facebook.
this piece above is connected to the shift rod in the transmission. if you pull the rubber garmet back a tad there should be a roll pin to knock out from my understanding. This pic above is from Hoke Performance. They offer the service above when you buy the shifter relocation piece, or Brett can do it for you also.
FYI I found that if you drill the starter bolt holes out and use longer bolts on the adapter and weld them into the adapter and use nuts on the other side, this allows you to change the starter without removing the transmission.
Hoping to start my swap soon. And as stated, you will need to run either an GPS based speedo setup or use the Dakota Digital box and an Abs sensor signal from the wheels.

Here is a link to the Hoke Performance site. They supplied me with the hardware to mount the bracket to the trans I had to supply hardware to mount the shifter to the bracket and shift linkage.

Please share how the trans install goes. Mine went in relatively smooth when I installed it along with the engine as one assembly. However with the engine still in the car, I had to tilt the motor as far as it would tilt, and beat the tunnel quite a bit, and after a lot of curse words and prying I was able to get it removed and installed with the engine still in the car. Was not fun. I think I need to do more beating or something.
