MELO's 95 SC300 build (daily turned project car)
I've always been attracted to the Toyota Supra and hopefully one day will get it, the quest for one started in 06-07 and it was just out of my price range so i opted for the next best thing.......a 5spd sc300 that i could build off of close enough to my dream of a supra.....i came across one and it literally slipped through my hands as someone else had gotten to it before me. Long story short i ended up getting a 03 g35 6spd which i modded the **** out of....which brings me to beginning of October 2011 in search for a daily so i wouldn't be putting so much miles on my G which i already poured so much into, came across a 240....an rx-7....my problem is that even though i wanted a daily i still couldn't deal with the fact of getting something practical....i still had it in my mind that if im gonna drive it, it would need to have the potential to make nice later on lol. I came across a 95 sc300 5spd and it was already RED.....which is my favorite color........finally making this thread and 3 years have passed.....now i can honestly say the modding has begun.
as i had mentioned the RED one is mine in this pic, the only pic i could fine of it the way i bought it, had a parts car pictured in the background, and my now EX-GF car in the front which she had that was also 5spd
in this pic i have stance coilovers installed and running OEM 17" 350z rims
the parts car i mentioned earlier had an authentic ORIGIN bod ykit on it and i had it stashed in my backyard for years. about September 2014 i had it fitted and installed finally with one modification to the front bumper deleting the high beams as i never like the look of them. Now running my G35 stock 18" rims
if you ever get around to seeing my g35 you'll come to find that i am part of that JDM freak club that just has to have the little hard to find parts that are dumb expensive and sometimes not even noticeable unless you know every little damn thing about your car.....that being said i opted out to find the rear JDM head rest seats for the SC which also came in cloth.
BEFORE
AFTER
Its gonna be a slow build but i like to do things right and am really particular about getting things pieced together.....so for now this is what i have left laying around for future projects of mine to be tackled for the SC.
LS400 front calipers and Supra rear calipers that i had powder coated
Newer Style Lexus steering wheel which i will be sourcing the Toyota airbag for
Supermade JDM lenses i acquired through a friend from japan
I'm all about ARC japan parts and i've already been sourcing out what i could find for the SC...so far 2 style shiftknobs which i use between the G35 and the SC, the radiator cap, and the oil cap
also in the works....tried fitting my Volk GT-30 from my G35 onto the SC.....offsets are higher on this car than my G so i gotta stretch the tires....but they wont be going on til i get them redone in a different color scheme....stay tuned for the updates.

It's an oil cooler and yeah I either get i like it or hate it with the bumper, I jus wanted to have something that wasn't as common as every person with a vertex, origin, or stock bumper with lip running around
