Before and After shots
Just had my 2013 Lexus GS350 detailed and wanted to share some before and after shots i thought would interest this sub forum . This was done at SyracuseAutoSpas up in CNY. If anyone is in this Upstate NY region i would highly highly recommend him. He does work on numerous vehicles, boats, and even RVs and buses. He has packages ranging from single to 3 stage polishes, CQuartz ceramic coatings, and is certified in xpel application. If anyone would like to know rates he gave me, shoot me a PM.
Here's what he did:
Washed, cleaned inner wheels as well.
Foam decontamination
Touchup paint
Single stage polish twice (CarPro i believe with a DA polisher)
Sealant

He told me he went over the car with the one stage polish twice after he saw a few more areas that needed to be touched up

Nice. Worth the expense for sure. Highly recommend a ceramic like CQF or Gyeon MOHS I have it ok mine and it just certifies that the long term paint life is going to have a much better chance of survivability. I would xpel, but it's so expensive.

So, is swirling particularly bad with soft Lexus black paint or a curse of black paint in general? I am suffering thru the swirls and holograms with my car, but I have learned to live with it. I squint when looking at the car in sunshine or just move to a different viewing angle . And the car looks gorgeous in the shade. I called off an appointment for a full paint correction job for $900 several months ago, and the CQ coating would have added a few hundred more . I just can't bring myself to spend 100s of $ on a regular basis to keep the car looking "perfect". Then again, I am spending all my time driving and enjoying the car from the inside; I am not too bothered by the swirls...
