Detailing estimate advice
Hi, getting a quote tomorrow from a well known area detail for paint correction on my new to me 2011 LS460L. The car has lots os swirls and holograms, and those rotary buffer trails i believe they are called? paint is hazy as a result as well. I think its from a dealer hack job on the car. Any pro detailers on here give me a ball park figure for repairing my car, so i have an idea before I go? Thanks in advance.

Paint correction prices are going to vary depending on your area, cost of living in that area, average income, etc etc etc.
For a large sedan such as yours, with a two-step correction process, we would be looking at ~$950 with traditional sealant application after correction, $1275 with a standard paint coating, or $1450 with an elite paint coating. .

yes, i figured it would be high being such a long car. From what i have read, lexus has softer paint. seems like the detailers at lexus really swirled this thing up before they delivered to me. I never saw the car in direct sunlight unfortunately so I didn't notice they were this bad.

Jet black paint of any kind is perceived as "soft"...
... the saying around the detailing world goes "black is not a color, it is a part time job".
Maintaining a black car is definitely not something I could do personally.... my previous IS was SGM and my ISF is MM. Both colors are far easier to maintain which gives me more time for everything else. Though there is nothing that looks as good as a perfectly clean black car!

Looks great. I priced around here in Atlanta for paint correction, ceramic coating, and suntek on the front end. I think the prices are a little high since there are people willing to pay to have it done on Super luxury cars, and exotics. I found a place in central Alabama that's is going to do mine, but he is booked 6 to 8 weeks out.

Thanks guys. I just had the detailer do the paint correction and LSP. They have a ceramic coating CQuartz finest. He is an authorized dealer. It was way out of my budget this time around. I had sticker shock when I head the price, but I do see why some pay for it. Supposed to protect the paint for 3 years from what I hear.
