Default Work Wheels Clear Coat Problem?

One of my good friend has some Work Schwert SC1 that he is willing to sell to me dirt cheap. However, there is a minor problem with the clear coat on the wheels near the center caps only on the 2 rear wheels. There seems to be some sort of corrosion under the clear coat that is causing some yellow flaking substances. It is slowly spreading to the spokes.

How can I repair this? Sand off or use aircraft paint remover and completely strip off the clear coat?

can you please post better photos and then post the higher res images with IMG tags instead of attached images... it is very difficult to see the extent of the damage you are referring to.

If the clear coat is failing, they will need to be refinished. If the metal itself is corroding, you may have bigger problems.

Looks like you'll need to refinish them.

Was hoping it was just some sort of clear coat problem. I can strip off the clear coat and re-clear coat the wheel. I didn't want to refinish the wheels since the spokes has black on the edges.
