Rust Protection on new car
Did anyone get rust protection in any way from dealer or else for your new car? I was told by the sales rep at the dealer that Lexus uses galvanized steel frame so rust protector is not necessary. What do you guys think of this?
I am thinking about getting rust protection from Krown. What do you guys think of Krown? www.krown.com
Also, will it void any Lexus warranty?

I live in WI, the official salt and chemical use capital of the US, and almost every car, including Lexus, I've seen up on a hoist has underbody rust. POR15 is one solution. Spending winter in the south is another and the one I prefer.
Galvanization doesn't make steel rust proof, it only slows that activity. Salt and the other more caustic chemicals used on roads and bridges in the winter will attack galvanized steel. The underside of your vehicle also sees lots of rock and stone chips which exposes bare steel.
The chemicals used to keep our roads ice free are very active in promoting rust:
Calcium Chloride (-25° F)
Magnesium Chloride (5° F)
Sodium Acetate (5° F)
Calcium Magnesium Acetate (5° F)
Potassium Chloride (12° F)
Urea (15° F)
Sodium Chloride (20-22° F)
Various Blends including Cheese Brine here in WI (20-22° F)
Unless a vehicle is made from aluminum or plastic it will someday rust if you live in my state.
