Default Clean water Filter Kit

Anyone using one of these kits or has pieced one together from Home Depot? I can do this for way less than $95... any advice? thanks

Looks like the standard water softener set up to me. Make a CR Spotless clone and you'll be fine. Ideally I would run a water softener set up then my CR Spotless but I don't have the room for that lol

so piecing something together from Home Depot will work?

dude i bought a RV water filter and use that. Cost me 23 bucks on amazon and just hooks up to my faucet and the hose.
