Hmm, if there aren't any scratches or pitting you want to remove, rub some metal polish on there. Make sure it is the paste form. I use Bluemagic metal polish or Autosol on my ES when it gets cloudy. ScratchX works the same using friction but metal polishes are generally little friction and more chemical reaction

I've used ScratchX as well, with good results. Just be sure to skip the microfiber cloth and go right for the terry cloth towel. The terry cloth will give you some additional friction that will be needed to get the headlights clean.

I am NOT affiliated in any way with this company, but I have used the product for clients, friends, and family, along with my DD, and it works as promised.
My lenses went from faded badly to looking nearly brand new. I spent more than 5 minutes per lens, but I taped off the bumper, hood, and trim to prevent any of the clear coat from getting on anything else. I also pre-scrubbed my lenses with a plastic cleaner, but that was not necessary. It is available at Walmart for about $22 (last I checked). I would call first, but it is listed as a vendor.
Oh - if you don't keep rubber gloves around for general use, buy a box. The clear included will stick to skin.

I'll give that stuff a try Mack. I watched the video, I'll probably get some 1000, 1500, 2500 grit to do the process and then just use the clearcoat for sealing.
kinda surprised he didnt show masking off paint or adjacent surfaces, you'd think for the unskilled they could fubar pretty quick.

Yes, I was rather surprised, but it really doesn't get everywhere if you go slow. My main concern was slagging it around and having the juice/lube from the paper everywhere.
