Default Perfect touch-up paint job

The touch-up paint you get from Lexus is so thick it leaves little bumps where you use it. To get a perfect finish here's what I do.

Apply the touch-up paint with an art quality tiny paintbrush. When the paint has cured, take a piece of scotch-tape, use a pointed tool to make a hole in it the size of your paint bump. Put the tape over the the bump with the hole in the right place. Use more tape to protect the surrounding surface.

Wet sand with 1000 grit sandpaper until the paint bump is flush with the tape. Then use Turtlewax buffing compound (the brown stuff) with your finger to remove the sandpaper marks. Wash area and use turtlewax clearcoat buffing compound, again with your finger, to further polish the area.

Remove the tape and wax several times to remove any leftover haze.

Just to clarify, waxing multiple times doesn't remove any leftover haze, it just hides it for a while

Also, if you are going to diy, get at least 3000grit so it'll be easier to remove the marks with a compound by hand

Ever try Langka? Takes practice but does OK...here is the link.

http://www.langka.com/the-blob-eliminator-p-31.html

Eliminates the paint blob. I found on metallic paints, the result is dull.
