Might be getting the GS350 in the future and I am looking to put in an AVIC-D1 navigation unit in my current car which will fit it because it has 2 dins. This refers to the space you have to put in the in dash 7'' screen. I think you can fit it in the car because the indash navi is an option for the car but just wanted to make sure. I hope you guys know what i'm talking about. If it only had one din then you would have to buy the navi that flips up(motorized screen that folds away). thanks in advance.
Nope, won't fit at all. You'd have to some crazy customwork to fit anything on there. The whole HU includes the screen, the buttons, the tape player, and disc player. Have you seen the dash??
If they all come with screens and navi is optional, then what is on the screen with no navi. And if they all come with screens, then it is easier to just run jacks on the back of the original screen and put a dvd player or navi dvds in a hideaway like under the seat or in glove box with never touching the original look. I didn't know they all come with screens. Is the same with the ES350?

I think you need to go to your nearest Lexus dealer and check out the GS the screen incorporates audio, climate, bluetooth, and many other functions.
So is it easy then to add a navigation if the screen is already there. Is it a matter of software or format? This is assuming i pick up a used 06 with no navi.
