Default Aftermarket Navi choice

I bought my car too early and I didnt want to pay sticker for 2IS with navigation.
So, I have been dying to have Navigation in my car and I was thinking about swapping OEM navi but seems like it's going to be super pricy. So I've decided to go with aftermarket ones. But I have very lttile knowlege in these products so, please help me choose one.

Here are my choices. these are single din units and i think only single din would fit in my car.
Pioneer AVIC-N3
Eclipse AVN 7000.
What's the difference between these two? the only difference i know is one has 6.5" screen and the other has 7" with HDD.

Anyone have idea how to stuff double din unit in 2IS? if so, I really want to have AVIC Z1.

Please Help.

Thanks

I think the Z1 would be soooo sweeet. I have the AVIC-N2 currently and I love it except for a few things which seem to have been fixed by the Z1. It uses Hard Disk Drive Navigation which eliminates the use of a disk for Navigation. The problem w/the disk is that you only have one slot for a disk co u can use either the Nav disk or listen to a CD, not both. The nav info is stored on the hard drive with this and it uses iPod integration which is pretty much all i listen to now!! XM NavTraffic is pretty cool too.

I would really love to have Z1 in my car also but I am not sure how it will fit.

What do u think about AVN 6600 from eclipse. It looks pretty similar to the Z1. Thanks!

there was just a big thread about this topic. it's titles "It Has To Be The Best"

we went over a lot of stuff about the different Navis, there's also a compare and review thread in here very recently as well.

I personally have the AVN6600 and I love it. I've messed with every eclipse AVN and a few of the Pioneers (Z1 mainly). My allegence still stands with Eclipse but the Z1 is a good piece.
