Here's the color for LFA #95. Its called 'Pearl Brown'. http://yfrog.com/kemhaeptj

Here's another. Really makes the #LFA look like super exotic http://yfrog.com/h4i40txj

How can LFA Works choose to build an owner-less LFA first when there are real buyers waiting to enjoy theirs?

this is really sad. having one extra built car with no one calling is bad enough. putting the car on ebay makes it about 100 times worse. i am actually ok with the exterior, i think it's one interesting color. but the interior combo kind of killed it imho

The dealers can and have been buying the cars. We have already seen a number of dealers take delivery and are typically putting the car on the showroom to showcase the brand. If Herb Chambers wanted to order one, that would be easy enough.
The other way here is that a buyer ordered the car and when it showed up and for whatever reason (like the perfectly nice brown exterior, though not my choice on an LFA was hideous when mated to an orange interior) and it ended up in inventory.
Regarding the white LFA at JM Lexus in FL, I just checked their website and it is still available.
Extremely low blow.
As for this tool, I hope he gets his Lexus franchise revoked.

I would tend to agree a customer ordered it. If it was Herb's ride, there would be no need to market it.
Plus, MA is not usually the wild combo state. Yes, you see some lime green Gallardos on Newberry St but those are likely to be college students.
With no local market for this eyesore, he would either have to go Ebay (as he did), trade to another dealer (unlikely) or move it quietly to an exotic shop (certainly take a haircut). What will be interesting is, if hard to move units end up being discounted. I asked the JM folks if a discount or some long term financing were available and few months ago they were saying no.
I find the color to be more like root beer as chocolate tends not to have sparkles in it.
With a $5K paint job to change the car to gray, it would go from dud to stud.
