It has to be a power supply issue.

Did you take the battery out of the car when you charged it or just connected the charger to the battery without disconnecting the cables?

Look at this chart. With your symptoms the wire harness is a common problem.

Then why would a new battery terminal fix this for one day?

Just updating this thread for those suffering from ill effects similar to this.]

Another call from Lexus today. It seems the passenger side ECU is to blame. After disconnecting it the battery drain went away. They ordered me a new ECU at $379 and are not going to charge me labor to install it.

Let's hope this is the real final fix.

Gs4004gs, was it the passenger ecu?

I have the same symptoms, fuel light flashes when I have 3/4 tank, power doors don't work, steering wheel telescope reset, alarm goes off until I disconnect the battery, and it's RAINING outside.

I have a weather stripping on the passenger side that I noticed is ripped and is letting water in. So I'm thinking it's getting the passenger side actuator wet and causing the symptoms.

Let me know if you solved your problem.

Yes it absolutely was the passenger side ECU. They confirmed that when it was disconnected the battery drain went away.

They gave me the old ECU and when I took it apart I could smell fried silicon. I don't have a leak in my car so mine was just one of those things that goes bad.

It's been months now and everything is still fine.

when it rains heavily and i mean heavily one of my window ecu's must be getting wet as somedays i can never roll my windows down or if i roll it down, it will stop and i wont be able to roll it back up for awhile. the auto tilt wills top working, the door programs don't work (ALTHOUGH my drivers window normally always works.) the cluster will dim or brighten and stay like this, headlights will take a second to come on.....then in a day or a few days when it has stopped raining and my car has dried out everything will work again. i know one of these days i will get annoyed or something will permanently happen and i will have to fix it but lately i just kinda ignore it as i know the rain causes it.

so i wonder if you been getting rain too
I'm currently having the same things happening in 01 430 right now. I have had a couple of times in the past where the auto tilt wouldn't go up and then the alarm wouldn't activate. However, I would reinsert the key and take it out slower then it would work fine. It has been raining heavily here, like enough to flood certain parts of the state. It has stopped raining today, I will have to see if everything goes back to normal. This is what I got

-Cluster takes 2-4 seconds to light up after car is started
-Key unlock will unlock/lock only the back doors
-Pass door can be locked from the inside by hand, but the driver's lock shows resistance and needs to be locked with key
-When headlights are on, the light indicator may or may not be showing that they are and sometimes the high beam light doesn't come on when they are on.
-They seatbelt light will flash when the belt is on or it will not be on at all like it's supposed to be
-Only driver's window works from driver's side, all other windows work via their respective independent switches

Also, when I made the tight turn to come into my driveway yesterday as soon as I came to almost a complete stop after the fact, everything in my car went back to normal. It's very much strange.

Does anyone have a part number or technical name for the passenger side ECU?
