still have not figured it out

if I flip the lights on and off it starts to work

Does this sound like I need a relay?

HID flicker/shut off problems happen because people hook them up incorrectly. Most HID manufacturers/sellers/retailers will NOT tell you that you need a relay harness in order for the HID kit to function properly; just because they want to sell you their product, they could careless if it works for you. What an HID relay harness does essentially is draw juice/power DIRECTLY from the battery in a car that did not come from the factory with HIDs. Drawing power from the battery directly when you switch the headlights/foglights on prevents a rough current draw from your stock headlight harnesses/bulb sockets. You'll notice on an HID relay harness, only ONE bulb socket is used instead of 2 sockets when not using the harness. The fix is quite simple. Go on eBay, type in '9006 relay' (for low beam projector HIDs) and 'H3 relay' (if you have fog light HIDs). They are usually $10 shipped and VERY self-explanatory to hook up if you know basic positive/negative electrical work on a car. Your problem will be fixed. The problem is/was that you are hooking those HIDs up to a stock headlight harness/bulb socket and the stock wiring CANNOT handle these power loads. I can guarantee you that if you get the HID relays harnesses off eBay or elsewhere, you will not have anymore problems with your HIDs, and if you still do, then there is something wrong with the kit. I would actually take out the HID kit(s) you have installed UNTIL you get the relay harness(es) installed properly for the kit(s) because you are damaging the bulbs/ballasts with them flickering/shutting off. You'd be surprised at HOW MANY PEOPLE install aftermarket HIDs totally incorrectly. But it is all a learning process. Hope this helps.

Mine is the 55w 6000k DDM Kit. No harness works perfect now that they sent me a new ballast that isn't faulty.

I see no reason to get the harness since my lights are working now.

Just return your kit and get the ddm 55w kit. If you end up needing the harness which since we have the same car you shouldn't, they sell it for 20

I am new here...having a similar issue.
Its with my OEM HID Head lights...
Left light kept going out so I assumed I needed a new bulb, bought 2 new bulbs on eBay 6000k bulbs...
Now when I run the bulbs...the both go off after about 5 mins or so...
If i turn the lights off and back on, they will fire up, but then go off again after about 5 mins???
Any ideas?
Thanx All =)

Experiencing the same issue on my 2007 is250 with OEM bulbs and ballasts. Mostly the passenger side, but sometimes the drivers or both?!? Going to try pulling the bulbs to check for hazing and replace with new D4S bulbs. Hopefully that will solve this frustrating issue.
