Default Question for CL Members with H&R springs

Did you use stock shocks or aftermarket shocks?

How was the wheel alignment with the H&R springs?

Thanks in advance.

stock shocks are fine..they would wear out bit faster....i would say get the L-tuned or KYB shocks and install all at the same time

I have H&R springs with stock shocks going on about 20,000 miles since installation and no problems or leaks from the shocks whatsoever. Alignment was done at a local shop and was brought within specs. Handling is okay, I'm sure with aftermarket shocks it would be better. Kinda wish I had the shocks changed at the same time the springs went in to avoid taking the same things apart twice.

had them with Bilsteins and 20s. Alignment was tough to nail down. I believe the rears were right at the tolenance. With the stock 17s there was no problem with alignment.

I'd go with the L0tuned shocks, they are only a lil over $200 bucks from Steve ganz.

Instead of doing an L-tuned suspension mod, does anyone have experience with the H&R springs and Bilstein shock upgrade? I have heard it is better, plus you get a lower drop with the H&R springs - 1.5 inches as opposed to 1 inch with the L-tuned mod.

Let me know your thoughts on this mod compared to the L-tuned mod. I am leaning towards this mod instead. Please keep in mind that I have not done any wheel/tire mods yet. Stock 17 inch rims are still on the car.

Many here have HR+Bilsteins...it does provide slightly lower drop than the L-tuned. as far as which is better, they are both good

With the H&R Springs....are the gaps (front and rear) equal?

Is the rear gap a bit more tha front for the more aggressive look?

I know the Eibach springs have a lower in the rear compared o the front.

Any info will be appreciated.

I was always under the impression that the rears were a bit lower than the fronts. Dunno if that's due to the amps and sub in the trunk...But after looking at my old pics, it looks like the gaps about the same. Here's a pic when I had the stock 17s and HRs.
