Never even took the car over 100mph...Never tracked it!!! This sound has been there since day one i picked up the car...It's really ticking me off how dealership is refusing to agree with the problem and take care of it.
Salil022 I hope your dealership finds the root cause of this. I've had people come up to me and tell me "Do you know your car is making that sound?". Some days I hear it on the drivers side, other days I hear it on the passenger side. You may want to try hearing on both sides once in a while. I'll video my sound later tonight and post it up. I'm pretty sure the sound is IDENTICAL.
Always used 93 octane shell and exxon and got the oil change done twice at the dealership....It doesn't sound like injector sound but at this point it could be anything as the sound is more noticeable from the bottom of the car.
Lance - No chance is just the injectors make a bit more noise than usual????
- What brand / grade fuel are you guys using??
- What brand / grade engine oil are you guys using?? (reg or syn)
- Any different fluids and/or additives in any of the oil or fuel??

Very unlikely it's an injector. I'd check valve lash first. It also does not sound like a typical exhaust leak. The odd part is the apparent randomness.
If my car had made that noise on delivery, I would not have taken delivery, I would have told them they need to either fix the noise or find a car not making the noise.
Unfortunately i heard this sound when i got home....Since the car was still cold when i left the dealership and there was no strange noises. I contacted lexus regional rep and waiting for the rep to contact me back...I told them something needs to be done .
Ok here's my video. You'll hear the tapping sound by the wheel. When I open the engine hood, you'll hear the normal direct inject sound, however if you listen closely, you can hear the tapping as well.
wait, on nick's video there's a consistent tick under the hood that sounds like my engine. sounds like a metal clicking, but it's not random like the first video. i've never noticed it unless the hood was up. i figured it was no big deal, i didn't want to take it the dealer for a chance they'll make it worse. i've heard ticking on almost all cars i've owned anyways, some louder than others.
