Agreed, SAE and smoothing 5, as it seems to be the gold standard.

This is EXACTLY how I have been Dyno'ing since 2002 on the DynoJet..

Also, good idea for members to post Fuel Octane, Dyno brand used & miles on the IS-F..

and

Base or Modified...
List of modifications is always a must, Including different Wheels, etc etc..

6th Gear is the Correct & Preferred gear for the Dyno Testing the IS-F .

Nice Work so far Gang!!!

Are those numbers stock? That graph looks so smooth for an IS-F, even with CF set at 5. Good numbers though.

This graph shows my stock dyno vs. my MHP ECU v1 tune, both done at the same place, SAE corrected, CF set at 5, 93 octane, 6th gear pull.

Juanca, don't you think it's odd that you are the only one to have a baseline graph that doesn't show power gained from 5200-6000rpms? Your MHP graph looks normal. I remember you stated that you had to drive hard to get there and didn't have a chance to cool down or anything for your baseline run. I'm just asking because having a bum baseline would increase the gains shown by the MHP tune.

caymandive,

Odd? You're making it sound like I intentionally did something fishy during my stock dyno pull so MHP's tune would look better. I posted this numbers and graphs the same day I went to the dyno, about 2 weeks before having the MPH tune. Why didn't anybody complain? Also, AFAIK my peak WHP on the stock dyno was at ~6300RPM, it was 349.34WHP SAE corrected with CF set at 5. It's higher than the average IS-F so far, not the highest though. I've been transparent and honest throughout the whole tuning process, and just in case there are doubts here are my 3 stock dyno pulls together, the last 2 of the session are even lower:

No, I'm not trying to make it sound like you did anything fishy and I can agree that you have been very transparent and honest throughout. You did state that you had a hot car going in for your baseline so I'm just using that as a possible reason for the bum appearing baseline as it looks like timing was pulled. I'm just saying that now that I have seen several people post their dyno charts just over the past few days (which is why nothing was brought up in the past) I'm seeing a trend with the power curve between 5200-6000ish as they all go up, but yours does not. I'm not saying the MHP tune didn't give you some power, but I don't believe the power gained was as much as what your baseline comparison shows.

Anyway I don't want to go too far off topic, so shoot me a PM or something and we can discuss.

Has anyone done a long term dyno secession with the MHP tune to see how its holding up? and is there anyone other than Juanca with the tune?

Tomorrow night I'll be going to the same track that I went before the MHP tune (Palm Beach International Raceway - www.racepbir.com), but this time I'll have a helmet!

Before the tune I ran 12.80@111mph (only attempt at the 1/4 mile, don't ask me why), so I want to see the numbers now that I've been using MHP's tune for the past 3 months. I'll keep the important variables the same as in the before-tune run, 1/2 gas, all electronics off, VSC off, SPORT, manual, and full weight. I'll post the new times probably on Monday, I'll be quite busy on Saturday and Sunday attending the Sony Ericsson Open in Miami...
