Dude.....
Buying jewlery only for the ladies is not the answer. There is nothing wrong with a bit of bling.
HOWEVER -
An Oz gold chain with a Buddah?
Dude, are you serious??
In Arkansas?
GOTTA SEE A PIC OF THAT CRIME AGAINST HUMANITY.

Take a small flashlight and a set of surgical clamps (they look like long thin scissors but have tweezers ends on them) and just fish it out.
If that doesn't work I'm going to *guess* and say that it's just firmly held in with clips. I can also say that I HIGHLY doubt it's sold separately from the armrest so I would be very careful prying on it.
Honestly, why don't you just take it to an upholstry shop and explain to them you lost your chain w/magic genie on it and what would they charge to fish it out. They should have experience with it and if they break it it's their problem to replace the broken parts.
P.s- Is the genie like a Christian Aguilera "genie in the bottle" type or more along the lines of Aladdin?
