If it bolts right up to the 98-00, shouldnt the factory harness that the 98 comes with clip right in? I mean, its just unplug, put new bezel in, plug in factory harness(from the 98) and DONE. right? why would you want the harness?

because the 98-2000 harness WILL NOT WORK with this upgrade. u need the harness also

Then the seller should specify that a harness is needed. Not all gs300 owners know that. And please don't say search because I'm not trying to be on this forum for 20+ hours reading all the wants/needs for the GS. That's all. Thanks.

Yup, and now that I look closer, I see that the harness is indeed there. Someone should buy this. It's a great upgrade for you 98-00 guys out there. I love mine.

Yes you might know, but others don't and a prime example of this is only a few posts up. More descriptive ads will help you out. Just sayin'
