LFA Inspired RX F Sport Coming Soon!
The next chapter for Lexus is just around the corner and is coming to the luxury utility vehicle that created this category back in 1998, we know it as the Lexus RX. The new 2013 RX, currently arriving at Lexus showroom floors is a mid cycle refresh of the current 3rd generation RX platform. Thanks to the Lexus LFA supercar, the sport inspired feel is finally being shared across the Lexus line up. The new 2013 RX is the latest Lexus to receive the LFA’s midas touch.
The front wheel drive only RX F Sport Appearance Package (available now) will share a sporty front bumper and a lighter 19″ split 5 spoke wheel.. But that’s where the similarities stop. This proper F Sport Package will satisfy the likes of those looking for a more dynamic drive experience and aggressive look. Thanks to the new signature spindle grille with super bright LED daytime running lamps, this RX is the most masculine feeling of all.
RX F Sport features an exclusive 8 speed direct shift auto transmission with throttle blipping, special dark graphite 19″ split 5 spoke wheels, and signature F Sport badging. On the inside it will have a perforated leather F Sport steering wheel with white stitching and paddle shifters, special aluminum sport pedals and trim, black perforated leather seating surfaces w/black birds eye maple trim, and available blind spot monitoring. Most importantly the RX F Sport features the Lexus VDIM system to ensure excellent control. It doesn’t stop there! A sport tuned steering and suspension set this RX apart from the norm thanks to this all-wheel drive only setup. The new RX F Sport will ensure maximum traction to all four wheels on your favorite twisty road.
North American RX F Sport models will come exclusively from the Toyota Motor Manufacturing Cambridge Plant in Cambridge, Ontario, Canada while the other global RX F Sports will be made at the Kyushu Plant in Japan. We prefer the Japanese made RX for many reasons, but we’re confident the RX F Sport will be a hit worldwide. We hope Lexus will continue the F Sport theme by offering F Sport accessories to enhance the sport experience! Bring on the F Sport Intake, suspension components and exhaust!
