When I Grow Up I Want To Be A Lexus LS

It's remarkable to think about how far Lexus has evolved since the introduction of the brand nearly a quarter century ago. The LS luxury sedan was the rookie and has quickly become the MVP in the large luxury sedan segment. The LS has shattered countless records and has become one of the most admired vehicles in the industry.

A few days ago, a picture of two Lexus flagships (1990 LS 400 & 2013 Lexus LS 600hL) were posted on the Lexus Netherlands Facebook page. It's evident that the LS has certainly grown since its introduction in 1989. It has evolved from one single model to several models which encompass luxury, sport, hybrid and a combination of hybrid sport. From the concept Circle F project to the LS 600hL, the LS is truly the world's best luxury car.

Carol Heinrich (Tue, 19 Mar 2013 07:40:09 -0700): You bet! I still have my 1992 LS 400 with 366,000 miles on her. I also have a 2012 Lexus IS250! Just love these cars.
Pat McNeill (Tue, 19 Mar 2013 07:49:43 -0700): I have had two 2nd Gen and currently have a 3rd Gen LS460. I am an obvious die-hard Lexus fan. I found if you treat them with TLC they respond like a purring kitten. Love my Lex.
Ellis Young (Tue, 19 Mar 2013 09:19:23 -0700): 1st gen certainly my favorite. owned a 90, and now a 94. I've owned many cars, but this the best performing, most dependable, and I think, best looking of all.
Thad Buck (Tue, 19 Mar 2013 18:50:23 -0700): I traded my 99 LS400 for 05 LS430. Wished I had my 99 back. The 05 is just not the ride or power, although its good, just not the same. Oh well,...
Mark Singh (Tue, 19 Mar 2013 20:37:43 -0700): My 1990 LS 400 just hit 90K (all red interior which is next to immaculate condition). I love my first Gen LS. My Lexus 2002 GS have to work real hard to be more impressive than the LS.
Craig Harrison (Thu, 21 Mar 2013 01:55:45 -0700): The LS400 is the star of the show. My 1994 lasted 10 years and left with 197,000 on the clock. Replaced by a 2004 LS430 which stayed 7 years and was almost as reliable. My present 2009 LS600hL has been with me 6 months and I am very impressed other than the poor ICE/ communications packages that fail to integrate properly with iPhone and iPod. The sat nav is also poor compared with competitors.
Rey SolCruz (Wed, 12 Jun 2013 13:56:32 -0700): I keep long term relationships with my cars. Use to be Volvos forever. Now my 2000 Lexus fits the bill.
